Understanding the STAR Model
The STAR Model is a structured method used to prepare for or reflect on an upcoming or previous scenario. It involves examining the Situation, Task, Action, and Result of past experiences to effectively demonstrate skills and competencies.
Situation: This is the context or background of a specific challenge or scenario you faced or will face. It sets the stage for understanding what was happening or will happen when encountering a particular scenario or event.
Task: This outlines the specific goal or objective you were or are working towards within a situation. It clarifies what needs or needed to be accomplished or resolved.
Action: These are the steps you took or will take, to address the task or challenge.
Result: This describes the outcome or consequence of your actions. It highlights the impact of your efforts and provides insight into your desired achievement or what you learned from the experience.
