overview: the people side

Welcome to Team8 People’s DISC Program for the University of Oklahoma Price College of Business’ “Business Undecided Retreat”.

No matter what stage of your career or education you are at, the foundation of all professional and personal development is the same – it starts with strong self-awareness.

DISC Profiling is an effective way to expand your self-awareness, develop a comprehensive understanding of yourself and your personal style, as well as the people you interact with. By undertaking this component of your class, you can lift your personal performance to the next level by clearly identifying the factors that will develop your interpersonal skills, and use your developed self-awareness to confidently choose your business major, prepare to enter the job market, and succeed in your next chosen endeavor.

The goal of this program is to guide your understanding of why this is important, and create a strong foundation to apply DISC Profiling to your professional development. Give yourself the best opportunity to reach your full potential in your future studies and career by discovering how to be adaptable, build on your strengths, identify and address potential limiting behaviors, and improve your communication, relationships, and teamwork with others.

To prepare you for what’s ahead, we’ll cover:
  • Why we’re doing this (watch the video below).
  • Completing your survey to receive your personalized DISC Profile Report.
  • Reviewing your report and highlighting key themes.
  • How you can use your knowledge of DISC to prepare and plan for your desired career.
